Description
These 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter and Banana Popsicles are the perfect frozen treat—naturally sweet, creamy, and dipped in rich dark chocolate. Made with ripe bananas, your favorite peanut butter, and a final dunk in silky melted chocolate, these popsicles are a healthy and indulgent snack all in one!
Ingredients
Scale
- 7 ripe bananas (about 2 lbs 7 oz with peel)
- 3/4 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
- 2 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and slice into thick coins. Spread them in a bowl or tray and freeze for at least 2 hours until solid.
- Take half of the frozen bananas and blend in a food processor until smooth. Add half the peanut butter and blend again until creamy.
- Spoon the mixture into popsicle molds, filling halfway. Freeze while repeating the process with the remaining bananas and peanut butter.
- Freeze all filled molds completely (about 4 hours or overnight).
- Melt dark chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
- Remove frozen popsicles from molds and quickly dip into the melted chocolate. Let excess chocolate drip off.
- Place popsicles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 10 more minutes to let the chocolate harden.
Notes
- Use sunflower seed butter for a nut-free version.
- Dip just the tops in chocolate if you want a lighter coating.
- Try rolling the dipped popsicles in chopped nuts, crushed granola, or coconut flakes before the chocolate sets.
- Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
