Description
A delightful twist on traditional nachos featuring crispy tater tots topped with BBQ chicken, melted cheese, and fresh toppings.
Ingredients
- Frozen tater tots
- Cooked chicken, shredded
- BBQ sauce
- Shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
- Green onions, chopped
- Jalapeños, sliced (optional)
- Sour cream (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the package instructions for the tater tots. Spread them out on a baking sheet and bake until golden and crispy.
- While the tater tots are baking, combine the shredded chicken with your favorite BBQ sauce in a bowl. Mix well until the chicken is fully coated.
- Once the tater tots are done, remove them from the oven. Layer the BBQ chicken mixture over the crispy tots. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese on top.
- Return the loaded totchos to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 5-7 minutes. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning!
Notes
- For a healthier option, use sweet potato tots instead of regular tater tots.
- Swap out chicken for shredded beef or pulled jackfruit for a vegetarian version.
- Use dairy-free cheese for a vegan alternative.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, place the totchos in the oven at 350°F until warmed through.
