Instructions
- Brown the butter by melting it in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown and nutty.
- Mix the brown sugar and granulated sugar in a large bowl, then add the browned butter and combine. Let it cool slightly before adding the eggs.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples and chopped pecans. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and smooth the top. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
