Description

  • 1 box brownie mix (18.3 oz, prepare as instructed on package)
  • 2 pints of your choice of ice cream flavors
  • 1 cup fudge sauce, heated

Instructions

  1. Prepare the brownies according to the package directions and bake in a 9×13-inch pan. Let them cool completely in the pan.
  2. Using a cake ring or sharp knife, cut out two 6-inch brownie circles from the cooled brownies.
  3. Place one brownie circle at the bottom of a 6-inch springform pan.
  4. Spread one pint of your chosen ice cream evenly over the brownie layer and smooth the top.
  5. Add the second brownie circle over the ice cream layer.
  6. Spread the second pint of ice cream evenly over the top brownie layer, smoothing it out.
  7. Cover the pan tightly with plastic wrap and freeze for several hours, preferably overnight, until the cake is firm.
  8. Before serving, remove the cake from the freezer and let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes.
  9. Release the sides of the springform pan and drizzle heated fudge sauce generously over the top. Garnish with extra brownie pieces if desired.
