Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix diced apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and flour. Set aside.
- Let refrigerated pie crusts sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes. Roll out to 1/8 inch thickness and cut into 4-inch circles.
- Place 1 tablespoon of apple filling and 1 teaspoon of caramel sauce in the center of each circle. Fold into half-moons, seal edges by pinching, and press with a fork.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Whisk egg and milk together for egg wash and brush over pie bombs. Optionally, sprinkle with granulated sugar.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve with whipped cream, extra caramel, or chopped nuts if desired.
