- 2 tablespoons rose water
- 1/2 cup (75 grams) chopped pistachios

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, ground cardamom, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Mix in the rose water until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the butter and sugar mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the chopped pistachios until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, portion out the dough and roll it into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Flatten each ball slightly with the palm of your hand.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown. The centers may look slightly underbaked, but they will firm up as they cool.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- If desired, mix powdered sugar with a little water or rose water to create a glaze. Drizzle over the cooled cookies for an added touch of sweetness and a glossy finish.
