Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (plus extra for dusting)
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- A pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, mix the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt until well combined.
- Slowly pour in the milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir until the mixture thickens and starts to bubble (about 5-7 minutes).
- Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla extract, and let cool for a few minutes before pouring into popsicle molds.
- Place the filled popsicle molds in the freezer and freeze for at least 4-6 hours or until completely solid.
- To serve, run the molds under warm water briefly to loosen the popsicles, then gently remove and enjoy your creamy chocolate pudding pops!
Notes
- Store leftover pops in an airtight container in the freezer.
- For a creamier texture, use whole milk instead of low-fat milk.
- Consider adding crushed nuts or mini marshmallows for variations.
