Description

Chocolate pudding pops are a delightful treat that are creamy, rich, and perfect for hot summer days. Easy to make and nostalgic, they are a favorite for both kids and adults.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (plus extra for dusting)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, mix the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt until well combined.
  2. Slowly pour in the milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir until the mixture thickens and starts to bubble (about 5-7 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla extract, and let cool for a few minutes before pouring into popsicle molds.
  5. Place the filled popsicle molds in the freezer and freeze for at least 4-6 hours or until completely solid.
  6. To serve, run the molds under warm water briefly to loosen the popsicles, then gently remove and enjoy your creamy chocolate pudding pops!

Notes

  • Store leftover pops in an airtight container in the freezer.
  • For a creamier texture, use whole milk instead of low-fat milk.
  • Consider adding crushed nuts or mini marshmallows for variations.
