Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (60 grams) cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying (approximately 1 cup or as needed)
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch bite-sized cubes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then coat the tofu cubes.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat and fry the tofu cubes until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes to regain crispiness.
