  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Rinse the chicken under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the Chicken: Mix garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Rub olive oil on the chicken and coat it with the spice mixture.
  3. Add to the Crockpot: Place the seasoned chicken in the crockpot, squeeze lemon halves over it, and place them inside the cavity.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
