- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Line a muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease each cup. Divide the batter evenly among the cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
Notes
- Store muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
- For freezing, wrap muffins tightly in plastic wrap and place in a freezer bag.
- Reheat in the microwave or oven before serving.
