Description
Fresh Peach Delight is a light and refreshing summer dessert that highlights the juicy sweetness of ripe peaches layered with creamy whipped filling and a buttery graham cracker base. It’s quick to assemble and perfect for warm-weather gatherings or casual family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup crushed graham crackers (about 10 crackers)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- Peel, pit, and slice the fresh peaches. Place in a bowl and toss with lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of sugar.
- In a separate bowl, whip together heavy whipping cream, sour cream, vanilla extract, and the remaining sugar until soft peaks form.
- In another bowl, mix crushed graham crackers with melted butter until the texture resembles wet sand.
- Layer the dessert in a dish or individual glasses: start with the graham cracker base, add a layer of cream, then a layer of peaches. Repeat the layers, finishing with cream.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let the layers set and flavors meld.
- Before serving, garnish with fresh mint leaves. Serve chilled.
Notes
- Use coconut whipped cream and coconut yogurt for a dairy-free version.
- Replace graham crackers with gluten-free ones for a gluten-free dessert.
- Try alternative fruits like blueberries or blackberries for variation.
- Add almond extract for a subtle flavor twist.
