Frozen Yogurt Chia Pudding Pops

  • Author: Chef Bella
  • Total Time: 4-6 hours (freezing time)
  • Yield: 8 pops 1x
  • Diet: Vegan

Description

Frozen Yogurt Chia Pudding Pops are a delightful and healthy treat that combines the creaminess of yogurt with the nutritional benefits of chia seeds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)
  • Pinch of salt (to taste)
  • 1/4 cup water or milk (optional, for thinning)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chia seeds, Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. If the mixture is too thick, gradually add water or milk until you reach your desired consistency. Stir well to ensure the chia seeds are evenly distributed.
  2. Take your popsicle molds and start by adding a layer of the yogurt-chia mixture to the bottom of each mold. Use a spoon to smooth it out.
  3. Add a layer of fresh berries on top of the yogurt-chia mixture.
  4. Continue to alternate layers of the yogurt-chia mixture and berries until the molds are filled, leaving a little space at the top for expansion during freezing.
  5. If your molds have a built-in stick holder, insert the sticks now. If not, wait until the pops are partially frozen (about 1-2 hours) before inserting the sticks.
  6. Place the filled molds in the freezer and allow them to freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely solid.
  7. Once frozen, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds to help loosen the pops. Gently pull the pops out of the molds.
  8. Enjoy your Frozen Yogurt Chia Pudding Pops immediately, or store them in a freezer-safe bag or container for later.

Notes

  • For a vegan option, use plant-based yogurt and maple syrup instead of honey.
  • To make it gluten-free, ensure that the yogurt and any additional ingredients are certified gluten-free.
  • Experiment with different fruits like mango, kiwi, or peaches for unique flavor profiles.
