- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups frozen tater tots
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and beef broth into the skillet. Mix well and let it simmer for a few minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a greased baking dish, spread the beef mixture evenly. Top it with frozen tater tots, arranging them in a single layer.
- Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes. Remove it from the oven, sprinkle shredded cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
- To reheat, place the casserole in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through.
- If freezing, cover tightly and it can last for up to three months. Thaw in the fridge before reheating.
