Description

A delightful treat that combines crispy flatbread with your favorite toppings, perfect for casual gatherings or weeknight meals.


Ingredients

  • Flatbreads (store-bought or homemade)
  • Olive oil
  • Marinara sauce
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Balsamic glaze
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with olive oil.
  3. Spread about 1/2 cup of marinara sauce on each flatbread, leaving a small border for the crust.
  4. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce and add halved cherry tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over each flatbread.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden brown.
  7. Sprinkle torn fresh basil over the top and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  8. Allow to cool for a minute, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
  • Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes.
  • For freezing, wrap slices tightly in plastic wrap and store in a freezer bag for up to a month.
