Ingredients
- Flatbreads (store-bought or homemade)
- Olive oil
- Marinara sauce
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil
- Cherry tomatoes
- Balsamic glaze
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Place the flatbreads on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with olive oil.
- Spread about 1/2 cup of marinara sauce on each flatbread, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce and add halved cherry tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over each flatbread.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden brown.
- Sprinkle torn fresh basil over the top and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
- Allow to cool for a minute, then slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
- Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes.
- For freezing, wrap slices tightly in plastic wrap and store in a freezer bag for up to a month.
