Description
A delightful dish that combines sweet and savory flavors with tender salmon fillets coated in a sticky honey garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, and olive oil until well combined.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
- Remove the salmon from the marinade and place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down. Drizzle any remaining marinade over the top of the salmon. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The top should be caramelized and slightly sticky.
- For an extra crispy top, switch the oven to broil for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning.
- Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Store any leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, place the salmon in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
- If freezing, wrap the salmon tightly in plastic wrap and then in aluminum foil. It can be frozen for up to 2 months.
