Description

A delicious and beautiful Honey Peach Layer Cake made with layers of fluffy cake, peach preserves, and honey buttercream frosting.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup peach preserves (for filling)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • ¼ cup honey (for frosting)
  • Fresh peaches, sliced (for decoration)
  • Additional honey (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the three prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
  8. Beat the softened butter for the frosting until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar and honey.
  9. Assemble the cake by layering with honey buttercream and peach preserves between each layer.
  10. Frost the top and sides of the cake with honey buttercream.
  11. Decorate with fresh peach slices and drizzle additional honey on top.
  12. Slice and serve at room temperature.
