Description

Key Lime Fudge is a creamy, citrus-infused no-bake treat that combines the sweetness of white chocolate with the tang of fresh key limes. Inspired by Key Lime Pie, this fudge offers a smooth texture and zesty flavor in a portable, easy-to-make dessert.

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup key lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • Zest of 2 key limes
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: green food coloring

Instructions

  1. Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt white chocolate chips and unsalted butter, stirring constantly.
  3. Stir in sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, zest, and salt until smooth and well combined. Add green food coloring if desired.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and smooth the top with a spatula. Tap gently to remove air bubbles.
  5. Let it cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully set.
  6. Lift the fudge using parchment overhang, cut into squares, and serve.

Notes

  • Use dairy-free chocolate and coconut oil for a vegan version.
  • Regular lime juice can be used in place of key lime juice, though the flavor will differ slightly.
