  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • Zest of 1 large lemon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually fold into the wet mixture until just combined. Spread the brownie batter evenly in the pan.
  4. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and mix until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Mix in lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract until fully blended.
  5. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer and spread evenly. Swirl the layers with a knife or toothpick for a marbled effect.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the cheesecake layer is set with a slight jiggle. Let cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  7. Once cooled, cut into squares and serve.
