Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and add milk, vegetable oil, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just combined.
- Fold in the poppy seeds.
- Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Whisk together powdered sugar and additional lemon juice for the glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread.
- Slice and serve as a delightful breakfast or snack.
