Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the lemon zest, chopped thyme, and salt until well combined.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the mixture and stir until the dough comes together.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to cut the dough into your desired shapes. Place the shaped cookies onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Once cool, lightly dust the tops with powdered sugar.
Notes
