Description
A delightful dessert that combines the classic flavors of a banana split into a fun, bite-sized treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream, softened
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- ½ cup chocolate syrup
- 1 cup whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
- 6 maraschino cherries (for garnish)
- ¼ cup crushed nuts (such as walnuts or peanuts)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of mini pie pans or muffin tins to form a crust.
- Scoop the softened vanilla ice cream into each crust and spread it evenly, leaving a little space at the top for the toppings.
- Place the banana slices on top of the ice cream layer.
- Generously drizzle chocolate syrup over the banana slices in each pie.
- Top each mini pie with a dollop of whipped cream.
- Place a maraschino cherry on top of each whipped cream dollop and sprinkle crushed nuts around the edges.
- Return the mini pies to the freezer for at least 1 hour to firm up before serving.
Notes
- Store in the freezer covered with plastic wrap or in an airtight container to prevent freezer burn.
- Let the pies sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before serving for easier slicing.
- For a smoother ice cream layer, let the ice cream sit out for a few minutes before scooping.
