Description

Mini Orange Blossom Basque Cheesecakes are a delightful dessert that combines creamy cheesecake with fragrant orange blossom, baked to perfection with a caramelized top.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 450 grams (16 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 150 grams (3/4 cup) granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 120 ml (1/2 cup) heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
  • 30 grams (1/4 cup) all-purpose flour
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Candied orange peel for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar, and beat until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, orange blossom water, and orange zest, mixing until smooth.
  5. Sift the all-purpose flour over the mixture and gently fold it in until just combined.
  6. Divide the cheesecake batter evenly among the muffin tin liners, filling each about 3/4 full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the centers are slightly jiggly.
  8. Let the cheesecakes cool in the tin for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Refrigerate the cheesecakes for at least 2 hours until set.
  10. Before serving, dust with powdered sugar and garnish with candied orange peel if desired.
