- 1 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed if possible)
- 2 tablespoons orange zest (fresh)
- 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Chill while you prepare the filling.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add vanilla extract, orange juice, and orange zest and mix until well combined.
- Whip heavy cream in another bowl until medium peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
- If using, dissolve gelatin in 2 tablespoons of warm water, let it bloom for 1 minute, then fold it into the filling for a firmer cheesecake.
- Pour the filling over the crust, smoothing the top. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Once set, remove the cheesecake from the springform pan, slice, and serve chilled.
