Ingredients
- All-purpose flour – 2 cups (240 grams)
- Baking powder – 2 teaspoons

- Eggs – 3 large
- Whole milk – 1 cup (240 ml)
- Orange zest – 2 tablespoons (from about 2 oranges)
- Orange juice – 1/4 cup (60 ml)
- Orange blossom honey – 1/2 cup (120 ml), plus extra for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, cream the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar together on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated.
- Add the whole milk, orange zest, orange juice, and orange blossom honey to the butter mixture. Mix on low speed until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until no flour streaks remain.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, carefully turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once the cake is completely cooled, drizzle additional orange blossom honey over the top.
- Slice the cake and serve it as a delightful dessert or a sweet treat with tea or coffee.
