- 1.5 kg (approximately 3-4 lbs) chicken pieces (legs, thighs, or breasts)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Rinse the chicken pieces under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Rub them with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the seasoned chicken pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Bake for about 30 minutes. Then, brush a generous amount of barbecue sauce over each piece.
- Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- If desired, switch the oven to broil for the last 3-5 minutes for extra crispiness.
