Description

Peach ice cream is a creamy and refreshing summer dessert made with ripe peaches, cream, and a touch of lemon. It captures the essence of summer with its sweet and fruity flavor, perfect for warm-weather occasions.


Ingredients

  • 45 medium peaches (about 3 cups chopped)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Wash the peaches and blanch them in boiling water for 30 seconds, then place in an ice bath to easily remove skins. Pit and chop them into small pieces.
  2. Sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar over the chopped peaches and let sit for 15–20 minutes to draw out juices.
  3. Blend the peaches into a puree, leaving chunks if desired for texture.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until sugar dissolves.
  5. Fold in the peach puree and stir until well combined. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  6. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for 1–2 hours until thoroughly chilled.
  7. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions (about 20–25 minutes).
  8. Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for 4–6 hours until firm.
  9. Before serving, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for 5 minutes for easier scooping. Enjoy!
