Description
Peanut Butter Chocolate Cups are a rich and indulgent treat that combines creamy peanut butter and luscious chocolate into a delightful dessert. These easy-to-make cups have a smooth texture, a satisfying crunch (if using graham crackers), and a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup chocolate chips (milk or dark chocolate)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers (optional)
- Sea salt for sprinkling (optional)
Instructions
- Line a muffin tin with paper or silicone cupcake liners.
- Melt half of the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring until smooth.
- Spoon a small amount of melted chocolate into each liner to form a base layer and refrigerate for 10 minutes to set.
- In a separate bowl, mix together peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Once the chocolate base is set, add a generous tablespoon of the peanut butter mixture to each cup and flatten slightly.
- Melt the remaining chocolate and pour over the peanut butter layers to cover completely. Tap the muffin tin to remove air bubbles.
- Refrigerate the filled cups for at least 30 minutes until fully set.
- Remove from the muffin tin and serve. Optionally, sprinkle with sea salt.
Notes
- Use sunflower seed butter or soy nut butter for a nut-free version.
- Choose vegan chocolate to make the recipe fully vegan.
- Graham crackers can be substituted with gluten-free options or omitted.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon or cayenne for extra flavor.
