- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup raspberry jam (or preserves)

Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Divide the dough into two equal portions, flatten each into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out one disk of dough to about 1/8 inch thick and cut out cookies.
- Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Once the cookies are completely cool, spread a teaspoon of raspberry jam on the solid cookies and top with a cookie that has the heart cutout.
- Dust the tops of the cookies with powdered sugar before serving.
