Description

Raspberry Crumble is a warm, comforting dessert bursting with fresh raspberries and topped with a buttery, golden crumble. Its sweet-tart flavor, crispy topping, and gooey fruit filling make it a perfect summer-inspired treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, chilled and cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 6 cups fresh raspberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 2-quart or 9×9 inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Cut in the chilled butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in chopped walnuts.
  3. In a large bowl, combine raspberries, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir gently to coat and let sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Spread the raspberry mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the raspberry filling.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  7. Let cool for 10–15 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • For gluten-free option, use almond flour or a gluten-free flour blend.
  • For a nut-free version, omit walnuts and use rolled oats instead.
  • Coconut oil or vegan butter can replace dairy butter for a dairy-free option.
  • You can mix in other fruits like blueberries or apples for a fruity variation.
  • Adjust sugar to taste or use sugar substitutes like Stevia or monk fruit sweetener.
