Description

Raspberry sorbet is a refreshing and fruity frozen dessert made with fresh raspberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water. It’s smooth, naturally dairy-free, and perfect for hot summer days or as a light, elegant treat.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh raspberries (approximately 600 grams)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200 grams)
  • 1 cup water (240 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about 30 ml)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse the raspberries thoroughly and pat them dry.
  2. In a blender or food processor, combine raspberries, sugar, water, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. Optional: Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds.
  4. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours.
  5. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (20–30 minutes). Alternatively, freeze in a shallow container, stirring every 30 minutes for 2–3 hours.
  6. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container. Garnish with mint leaves or fresh berries if desired.

  • For a smoother sorbet, strain the mixture to remove seeds.
  • Substitute raspberries with other berries like strawberries or blackberries.
