- 1 box (approximately 15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (optional, for added sweetness)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Toss the sliced apples with ground cinnamon and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl, then spread them in the baking dish.
- Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the apples.
- Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the apple and caramel layer without stirring.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
- Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and edges are bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes and drizzle the remaining salted caramel sauce over the top.
