Description
A delightful dessert combining creamy cheesecake, crunchy pretzels, and rich salted caramel, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups pretzel crumbs (about 10 oz of pretzels)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Flaky sea salt, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the pretzel crumbs and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×9-inch (23×23 cm) baking pan to form an even layer. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the granulated sugar, mixing until well combined. Add the sour cream and vanilla extract, and continue to mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
- Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled pretzel crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Smooth the top and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Once the cheesecake is set, remove it from the refrigerator. Drizzle the salted caramel sauce generously over the top.
- Using a sharp knife, cut the cheesecake into squares. Before serving, sprinkle each square with a pinch of flaky sea salt.
