Description

Strawberry Jam Layered Overnight Oats are a delightful breakfast option that combines creamy oats with sweet, fruity layers, perfect for busy mornings or leisurely brunches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (or dairy-free yogurt)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup homemade strawberry jam
  • Optional toppings: additional fresh strawberries, nuts, or seeds

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt and honey. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  2. In a jar or a bowl, start by adding a layer of the oat mixture at the bottom, using about half of the mixture for this first layer.
  3. Spoon a layer of homemade strawberry jam over the oats, spreading it evenly.
  4. Add the remaining oat mixture on top of the jam layer, followed by another layer of strawberry jam.
  5. Finish the layers by adding sliced fresh strawberries on top of the final jam layer.
  6. Cover the jar or bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  7. In the morning, give the oats a gentle stir and enjoy cold or warm them up in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
