Description
A delightful and nutritious breakfast option that combines creamy oats, yogurt, and fresh strawberries, perfect for busy mornings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup crushed graham crackers
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract. Stir well until everything is mixed together.
- In a clear jar or container, start by adding a layer of the oat mixture at the bottom, about 1/3 of the total mixture.
- Place a layer of sliced fresh strawberries on top of the oats, spreading them evenly to cover the surface.
- Add another layer of the oat mixture on top of the strawberries, followed by another layer of sliced strawberries. Repeat this process until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of oats on top.
- Sprinkle the crushed graham crackers over the final layer of oats, creating a delightful crunch on top.
- Cover the jar with a lid or plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator. Allow the oats to soak overnight, or for at least 4 hours, to soften and absorb the flavors.
- In the morning, give the oats a good stir before enjoying. You can add extra fresh strawberries or a drizzle of honey on top if desired.
Notes
- Store in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Best enjoyed cold, but can be microwaved for 30 seconds if preferred warm.
- Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor and texture.
