Description
This Super Easy Peach Cobbler is a classic comfort dessert made with fresh peaches, a simple batter, and baked to golden perfection. It’s perfect served warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups fresh peaches, sliced (about 6–8 medium peaches)
- 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk (whole or low-fat)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Wash and slice the peaches, removing the pits. Toss with ½ cup of sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl. Let sit for 15–20 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix flour, remaining ½ cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together.
- Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish. Pour the batter evenly into the dish. Do not stir.
- Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter. Do not mix.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40–45 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- Do not overmix the batter—keep it slightly lumpy for the best texture.
- Use fresh ripe peaches for optimal flavor and texture.
- You can substitute peaches with other fruits like berries or apples.
- For vegan or dairy-free versions, substitute milk and butter accordingly.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 1 week or frozen for up to 3 months.
