Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Wash the strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries thoroughly. Slice the strawberries and set all the berries aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Gently fold the mashed and whole berries into the cream mixture until evenly distributed.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours.
- Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions for about 20-25 minutes.
- Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container, smooth the top, and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
Notes
- For a dairy-free version, use coconut cream and almond milk.
- For a lower-sugar option, consider using a sugar substitute like stevia.
- Press a piece of parchment paper directly onto the surface of the ice cream to prevent ice crystals from forming.
- Consume within two weeks for optimal freshness.
