Description
A refreshing Watermelon Kiwi Lime Sorbet that combines sweet watermelon, tangy kiwi, and zesty lime for a perfect summer treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups of ripe watermelon, cubed (about 1 medium watermelon)
- 4 fresh kiwis, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup of fresh lime juice (preferably freshly squeezed)
- 3/4 cup of sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)
- 1/2 cup of water
Instructions
- Prepare the watermelon by cutting it in half, removing seeds, and scooping out the flesh into a bowl.
- Blend the watermelon cubes until smooth, optionally straining for a smoother texture.
- In a separate bowl, mix the blended watermelon puree with chopped kiwi, lime juice, sugar, and water. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
- Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn until soft-serve consistency, or pour into a shallow dish and freeze.
- If using the shallow dish method, stir every 30 minutes for 3-4 hours until fully frozen.
- Serve the sorbet in bowls or cones, garnished with fresh kiwi slices or mint leaves.
Notes
- For a vegan option, use agave syrup instead of sugar.
- Try using other fruits like strawberries or mangoes for different flavors.
- For a sugar-free version, consider using a sugar substitute like stevia.
- Store leftover sorbet in an airtight container in the freezer.
- Let sorbet sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping if it becomes too hard.
