Description

A flavorful twist on traditional deviled eggs inspired by the Bayou cuisine.


Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs for about 10 minutes. Cool them in cold water.
  2. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
  3. Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.
  4. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the yolks. Mix until smooth.
  5. Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of hot sauce to your spice preference.
  • These can be made a few hours in advance.
