- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gently fold in the blueberries.
- Add buttermilk and stir until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
- Pat the dough to about 1-inch thickness and cut into rounds.
- Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh blueberries for best flavor.
- Do not overmix the dough.
- For a sweeter biscuit, add sugar to taste.
