  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, plus extra for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish while the oven preheats.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  4. Pour in the buttermilk and mix gently until just combined.
  5. Pour the biscuit batter into the melted butter without stirring.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Drizzle additional melted butter over the top after baking.
  8. Allow to cool slightly, cut into squares, and serve warm.
