Description

A delightful treat, these Chewy Maple Pumpkin Cookies are soft, chewy, and bursting with warm flavors of pumpkin and maple, perfect for fall gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Mix in the pumpkin puree, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Gently fold the chocolate chips into the cookie dough until evenly distributed.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers look set.
  9. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cookies cool on the sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and maple syrup. Add milk, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired glaze consistency.
  11. Once the cookies are completely cool, drizzle the maple glaze over the top of each cookie.
  12. Serve the cookies warm or at room temperature.
