Ingredients
Scale
- 2 chicken breasts (about 500g), sliced into thin strips
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (60ml)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (30g)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (15ml)
- 8 oz (225g) egg noodles
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: additional vegetables (like bell peppers or broccoli)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken breasts, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Boil water in a large pot, add the egg noodles, and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
- Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet with the chicken and toss gently to combine. If using additional vegetables, add them and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- When reheating, add a splash of water or extra teriyaki sauce to prevent drying out.
- For freezing, do so before adding the sauce and store for up to 2 months.
