  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tsp Earl Grey tea leaves
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tsp dried lavender

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and Earl Grey tea leaves.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  7. While the cake cools, prepare the lavender buttercream by beating together the butter, powdered sugar, heavy cream, and dried lavender.
  8. Once the cake is cool, frost it with the lavender buttercream.
