Description

A traditional Hungarian dish made with chicken, paprika, and sour cream.


Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken pieces
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 400 ml chicken broth
  • 200 ml sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add chicken pieces and brown on all sides.
  4. Stir in paprika and garlic.
  5. Add bell pepper and chicken broth.
  6. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  7. Stir in sour cream and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  8. Season with salt and pepper before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with egg noodles or dumplings.
  • Adjust paprika based on your spice preference.
  • For a thicker sauce, let it simmer uncovered for a few minutes.
