Slow Cooker Korean Beef

Description

Tender beef cooked slowly with Korean flavors.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Pour the sauce over the beef in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks.
  6. Serve with green onions and sesame seeds on top.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
