Description

A moist and flavorful loaf infused with the festive spices of eggnog.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in eggnog and vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. If using, fold in the chopped walnuts.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Store the loaf in an airtight container at room temperature.
  • This loaf can be frozen for up to 3 months.
