- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups chopped apples about 2 apples
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- Optional glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 –3 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Prep apples: Peel and chop apples; toss with lemon juice.
Mix dry: Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar.
Mix wet: Beat eggs, then add milk, vanilla, and butter.
Combine: Stir wet into dry just until combined. Fold in apples.
Scoop: Drop spoonfuls onto parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake: At 375°F (190°C) for 14–18 minutes until puffed and golden.
Glaze: Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm fritters.
