Cuisine American
- 1/2 cup 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips optional, for extra gooeyness
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or an 8x8-inch baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth.
Add in flour, cocoa powder, eggs, vanilla, and salt. Mix until fully combined.
Fold in chocolate chips if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared dish and smooth the top.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is still slightly gooey (a toothpick should come out with moist crumbs).
Let cool for 5 minutes, then serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
