Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips optional, for extra gooeyness

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  • Add in flour, cocoa powder, eggs, vanilla, and salt. Mix until fully combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared dish and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is still slightly gooey (a toothpick should come out with moist crumbs).
  • Let cool for 5 minutes, then serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
