These maple donut bars are soft, golden yeast-raised treats topped with a rich maple glaze. A homemade take on a donut shop favorite.

Dough:
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm milk 110°F
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour plus more for dusting
Maple Glaze:
- 1/2 cup real maple syrup
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- Pinch of salt
Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let foam.
Add egg, butter, salt, and flour. Knead 6–8 mins.
Let dough rise for 1 hour.
Roll out and cut into bars. Rest 30–40 mins.
Fry in 350°F oil until golden.
Dip in maple glaze while warm.
