Ingredients
  

For the Sandwiches:

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 4 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 4 tablespoons jam or jelly

For the Egg Mixture:

  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

For Cooking:

  • 2 tablespoons butter

Optional Toppings:

  • Powdered sugar
  • Maple syrup
  • Fresh fruit

Instructions
 

  • Assemble Sandwiches: Spread peanut butter and jelly between slices of bread to make 4 sandwiches.
  • Make Custard: Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a shallow bowl.
  • Dip & Soak: Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides well.
  • Cook: Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  • Serve: Slice, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with syrup, and enjoy warm.
